Artist Releases Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Artist Releases helps you follow artists and see their newly detected releases. You do not create an account or provide your name, email address, or music-service credentials to use the app.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The app stores the artists you follow, release history, read and unread status, notification preferences, synchronization state, and a random installation identifier on your device. This information supports relaunch, offline display, and recovery from interrupted synchronization. Removing the app deletes this local data, subject to device backups and operating-system behavior outside our control.

3. Artist Search and Apple Music

When you search for an artist, the search text is sent to Apple Music so Apple can return catalog results. The app opens release links in Apple Music when you choose them. Tubtaco does not receive or store your search text or Apple Music credentials. Apple processes information it receives under Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Artist Releases Service and Notifications

The app sends its random installation identifier, storefront country code, app version, followed Apple Music artist identifiers, release read status, and synchronization revisions to the Artist Releases service. The service stores release matches and notification-delivery status for that installation. It does not receive your name, email address, search text, music credentials, or Apple user token.

If you enable notifications, the app sends its Apple Push Notification service device token and enabled status to the Artist Releases service. The token is used only to deliver Artist Releases notifications through Apple. You can disable notifications in the app or in iOS Settings.

5. Analytics and Crash Diagnostics

Production builds use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand feature reliability and diagnose crashes. Analytics includes a small set of bounded app events, such as follow or unfollow completion, feed refresh outcomes, notification actions, and Apple Music link opens. We do not place artist names, release titles, search text, push tokens, installation identifiers, or raw error text in these events.

Firebase may automatically process product interaction, an app-instance device identifier, app and operating-system version, device model or category, language, coarse geography, crash data, and diagnostic data. This information is used for analytics and app functionality. Artist Releases does not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking and does not link the advertising identifier framework. Google processes this information under Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Retention and Deletion

The Artist Releases service deletes installations that have been inactive for 365 days. Deleting an installation record removes its push token, followed-artist state, and release match and read history; release metadata no longer referenced by another installation is also pruned. Firebase and Apple retain information under their own policies and controls.

For a privacy request concerning Artist Releases service data, contact us through Tubtaco Support. Because the service is anonymous, we may need the installation identifier from your device to locate the correct record.

7. Sharing, Tracking, and Security

We do not sell personal information, display advertising, or track you across apps or websites. Information is shared only with Apple, Google/Firebase, and Tubtaco's hosting providers as described above to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the app.

Data is sent over encrypted connections. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized maintainers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information processed.

8. Children's Privacy

Artist Releases is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes and Contact
