Fiber

Fiber is a simple daily tracker for keeping your dietary fiber goal in view.

1. Overview

Fiber does not require an account or ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, or other personal profile information. If you choose to send feedback, the message and limited app context are sent to Fiber's service.

2. Information We Collect

Fiber does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or other personal profile information. Your daily tracking data, including food entries, fiber values, adjustments, favorites, and custom-food records, is stored on your device so the app can restore it according to its daily tracking behavior.

Fiber uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand whether people complete onboarding, use core features, encounter errors, and complete or abandon subscription actions. Fiber sends coarse action and outcome labels, such as whether onboarding was completed, a fiber entry was logged, a goal was reached, the food editor was changed, or a subscription action succeeded, was cancelled, remained pending, or failed.

Fiber does not send food names, search text, custom-food names, fiber amounts, daily totals, goal values, raw error messages, transaction identifiers, or Apple account information to analytics.

Google Analytics for Firebase automatically collects an app-instance identifier and app lifecycle events. It may also process app and device information, operating system and app version, language, general location derived from a masked IP address, and StoreKit purchase or subscription information such as product identifier, product name, and price. This information is associated with the app-instance identifier rather than a Fiber account.

Fiber does not include advertising-identifier support, does not use analytics for advertising profiles or cross-app tracking, does not set a Firebase user ID, and does not sell personal data.

3. Custom Food Illustrations

When you add a custom food, its name may be sent transiently to Fiber's image service and OpenAI solely to decide whether an existing catalog illustration fits or to generate a new illustration. Fiber does not retain the custom-food name after that processing. The resulting generated image and a non-reversible cache digest may be retained by Fiber's service so the illustration can be reused.

Fiber does not ask OpenAI to retain your custom-food input. The illustration-decision request is configured with OpenAI's store: false option. The image and embedding endpoints used for this feature do not offer an equivalent app-controlled storage option, so this policy does not promise a specific OpenAI retention period; OpenAI's data controls apply to those requests.

4. Feedback

If you choose to use the in-app feedback form, Fiber sends the text you enter together with a random app-installation identifier, the app's bundle identifier and version, your iOS version, and whether Fiber Pro is active. Fiber has no user accounts and does not send a user ID. The installation identifier is used only to understand related support messages; it is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking and may reset when you delete the app.

Unsent feedback is not stored on your device after the app terminates. Submitted feedback is retained in restricted, append-only service storage so the developer can review and act on it. There is no automatic retention period for feedback in this version.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your on-device tracking data remains on your device until it is removed by the app's daily tracking behavior, you remove it, or you delete the app. Fiber's service does not retain a copy of that tracking data. Generated illustrations and their non-reversible cache digests may remain on Fiber's service after the related custom-food name has been discarded.

Analytics data is retained and deleted according to the retention controls configured for Fiber's Google Analytics property. Deleting the app removes the local app-instance identifier. Because Fiber has no accounts and does not attach your identity to analytics, we generally cannot locate an anonymous analytics record as belonging to a particular person. You may contact us with privacy questions or requests.

6. Security

Fiber's service stores generated illustration files, non-reversible cache digests, and feedback records, but not custom-food names or your daily tracking data. Analytics data is processed by Google under its Firebase and Google Analytics terms. Feedback and analytics records are accessible only to authorized maintainers. You are responsible for the security of your device and any device backups.

7. Children's Privacy

Fiber is not directed to children under 13. Children should use the app only with parental guidance.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The updated policy will be posted at this URL.
